Why are little clothes so cute?

Seriously, little clothes are adorable. So, ever since we found at that we were expecting, I have been on the hunt for all the sports related apparel I could get my hands on. Specifically, IU, Colts, and Cubs. The search is now complete! Thanks to watchful eyes, we were able to locate everything I was looking for.

I have had so much fun searching for all of these, especially since I can't buy all the cute gender specific clothes yet. And yes, we will be dressing a girl in all of these! I'll have to find the pictures of me in my IU stuff growing up. Not to toot my own horn, but I was pretty adorable.
And finally, in pregnancy news, the baby has officially lodged itself inside of my ribcage. Cool huh? I sound like I've just walked up three flights of stairs at all times. And, as I type this, baby is practicing its karate moves on the walls of my stomach. I am so ready for this baby to drop! The instructor of our baby classes said it usually happens around week 37, so I'm getting there.

Get in my belly!

So it seems that I have hit the point in my pregnancy that random strangers feel the need to comment on the size of my stomach. Awesome. I have officially hit 35 weeks! That means only 35 days (technically) until my due date. Thankfully I'm feeling pretty prepared, especially since we're down to one baby class. So far we have learned all about giving birth, the hospital layout, and taking care of mom and baby after it has arrived. It's been very helpful in making us feel "ready". Like anyone ever is.
Josh is done with his MBA! This is cause for serious celebration. His fam gathered for a congratulations for him/birthday party for his gpa. It was very fun and he scored some giftcards for places to eat that will definitely come in handy once baby arrives.

I hope everyone is experiencing a beautiful fall like we are up here. The colors are just gorgeous. The weather has been crazy, but it's really nice today (almost 70) and Josh went to play golf. Here are some pics from our apt.

The poor geese don't know what to do. It goes from 30 to 70 in a week.

Here's an obligatory bump pic, and the view I see when I look down. Yikes.

So Mom wanted me to post some more pictures, I must oblige. But before that, a quick update.

As you will see, Josh and I put the crib and dresser we purchased at Ikea last month together. Usually we struggle with doing something like that together, mostly because both of us think our way is by far superior. haha. But, we were able to do this little project without any tiffs. I would call that a success!

Josh is three days away from being finished with his masters. Sweet. I am 4-0 in one of my fantasy football leagues, we won't talk about the other one. And, in other news, Josh found two IU onesies for baby and our night guard and his wife found some at Walmart. I am beyond pumped about this. I've been looking since I got pregnant for reasonably priced IU apparel for the little one. Now it can support the cream and crimson in style. Yes, I call my baby it, no gender until it is out. Have I mentioned that this drives everyone crazy?

Okay, on to pictures. Here's one of me and the coolest art print ever--Kyra had a lady at her work create it for us. Because Yertle the Turtle is the best Dr. Seuss story.
This is the piggy bank mom and her co-worker thought up. We painted it at a paint your own pottery place and then had everyone at the shower/family members sign it. Still waiting on a few more signatures before we bake it and then the writing stays on forever. Pretty cool. I told mom that this will definitely be one of those things that has a terrible accident when the kids are throwing a ball in the house.
And finally, this is the crib and dresser from Ikea. The room is still a work in progress, so I will post pictures as it becomes more complete.

Baby Shower!

First of all, happy birthday to my momma! She and my stepmom Kyra put on a great baby shower for their future grandbaby this weekend. Everyone was incredibly generous and baby has all kinds of stuff to keep him/her occupied, clean, etc. Mom's cousin was in charge of taking pictures and she did a great job...here are a couple.

Dad and Kyra made this cool cake. Make sure to read the yellow blocks, they spell out baby bowyer!

Here's dad, Kyra, and me. Check out that belly!

Here are the lovely ladies in attendance, minus a few who came later. Thanks everyone for coming!

Side view of the belly. We're getting there. I had to have an extra ultrasound last week because my doctor thought I'm not gaining enough weight. Everything looked good, baby has a big head. And perhaps tiny appendages. haha, awesome. The doc said that it would catch up though. Here's hoping we don't have a top-heavy child!

In other awesome news, I'm an aunt! Josh's sister Brittany had her baby Sophia Lynn on Sept 22. Mom and baby are doing great and we stopped by to see them last Sunday. Sophie has so much hair and is sooo tiny! I don't have any pics yet, but I'll try to get some soon.

Hope everyone is having a great start to the month!
