Video Update

I took a couple of good videos this week that I had to share.  The boys have been hilarious, so of course I had to capture it!

Up first is dancing Dave.  We have a dance party pretty much every day where we put on pandora and Dave goes crazy.  I would say it is his favorite activity right now.  Here's a video of him grooving to "Moves Like Jagger" (not the most appropriate song, but it's catchy!).

Love the sunglasses and pajamas look.

Ike has been chatting up a storm lately.  He has also graduated to sitting/standing in his jumperoo thing.  Growing up so fast!

He loves hanging out and getting to stand on his own...here's the video of him talking.

Today we headed to Logansport to visit with Grandma Bertie.  Josh found a set of trivia cards for kids and asked Dave some questions.  Then it was Dave's turn to quiz us.  Some of my favorite questions:  "Who is adorable?", "Who takes me to mom's group?", and "Who buys me toys?".  There were several correct answers to the last question!

Dave's quiz game.

Well, that's all for now.  I have lots more to post, but I'll save that for tomorrow!

Playground in January!

Last week we had a couple of really nice days where it was warm enough to finally get out of the house.  I took the fellas over to the playground to get some fresh air and a little sunshine.  Isaac sneezed at least 10 times while we were outside...poor kid needs to be exposed to the sun more often!

Dave hitched a ride over on Isaac's stroller.

Ike in his stroller bubble.

So pumped to be on the swing again.

Ike was kind of excited about the park, but fell asleep about 10 minutes in.

Dave rolling his hot wheels down the slide.  He even shared when more kids came to play!

I am so glad we had the opportunity to get out of the house for a bit.  Cannot wait for Florida!!  We are heading down the last week of February and it can't come soon enough...we are all looking a little pale  :)

Life in the Cold

So we had a really awesome warm front last week.  Unfortunately, it was followed by some really cold weather, which I heard was supposed to extend into next week.  We've been making the most out of this junky weather by spending lots of time playing in the playroom and working on packing up the house.

Dave was really pumped about something the other day...probably his cool tattoos on his arms.

Ike loves watching Dave play trains.  Here's a video of him trying to roll over-getting close!

I love how Ike looks completely unimpressed by Dave's antics.

The boys and I.

Making a play doh ear with Grandma D.

I can't remember if I have mentioned Dave's prize bin here yet.  If I haven't, it's our reward system for Dave sleeping well at night, or sometimes taking a nap, or whatever.  Dave calls it his puh-prize bin, which we find hilarious.  Anyway, he earned a prize the other day, and he finally chose the fake mustaches that we put in there forever ago.

Dave and I with our mustaches.

Josh joined in on the fun...here is our super serious pose.

Big Bro and Little Bro

I thought I would update on how the fellas are doing with one another.  It's been going much better in the past month, and Dave has definitely come a long way with his jealousy.

So I'm pretty sure the boys are already plotting against us...or at least Dave is and he's trying to get Ike in on it.

See-Dave keeps whispering ideas to Isaac.

What?  We were just preparing to look adorable.

Whenever I am attempting to take a picture of Ike, Dave has to jump in on it.

Why are you not paying attention to me!?

I don't think it was intentional, but notice how Dave's slowly easing Ike out of the chair.

And this was the cutest picture of the bunch...not a great photo op apparently.

I am so excited to see their relationship grow as they get older!  Dave is already becoming more interested in Dave as he can do more things, so hopefully he won't mind including Ike more.  Here's a video of Dave and Ike playing in the play mat.

Cute picture my mom took of the boys.

Oh, and in other news, I am officially a stay at home mom!!  So pumped.  Josh officially started his new job this morning.  We took advantage of our last week before life gets a little crazy (with Josh's new job), and have seen two movies (in the theater!) thanks to some awesome grandparents.

The Many Faces of Ike-3 Months Old

Isaac has hit three months!  He is growing like crazy and is such a fun baby.  Just last week Josh mentioned to me how much more interactive he has gotten, and I completely agree.  I think it took a little longer for him to start cooing and really expressing himself (possibly due to an incredibly loud older brother?), but now that he is going, watch out world!  Here's a video of Isaac talking to his animal friends.

Staring me down and not offering up a smile.

I love this scowl.

Here's Isaac about to punch the camera.

And this one is of Dave when he was about the same age.  Even their mannerisms are the same sometimes.

He has found his hands in the past couple of weeks.

More cuteness playing with his hands.

Holy chins batman!  I love his big smiles where he half closes one eye.

He looks so shocked, I must've said something controversial.

Big eyes-I think we'll have trouble saying no to those in the future!

Ike is still a super baby-rarely fusses, sleeps great, and tolerates a crazy older brother.  He has been pretty much sleeping through the night (he usually goes from about 10 until 5 or 6 in the morning).  Definitely a nice chunk of sleep for us!  Like I mentioned above, he has been really into his hands, and basically anything else he can chew on.  He has been slobbering like crazy, which I'm pretty sure is due to teething.  He has officially outgrown all of his 3 month clothing, and mostly wears 6 month stuff, with a couple of pajamas at 6-9 months.  Big guy!

I can't believe he's already a quarter of the way to being one!!  Time goes so quickly with little ones.  Can't wait to see what the next couple of months bring :)

Ready for the New Year!

Happy New Year!  We are definitely glad to be ringing it in, December was a rough month for us.  One of us was sick the entire month (with Isaac being hospitalized in there), and we are so ready to be well in 2013!  Josh and I both were sick the week after Christmas, but are feeling much better now.

As I am writing this, our cottage is moving down to their new location, which means we are one step closer to Josh starting his new job (next Thursday) and me being a stay at home mom.   We have had such a great year in 2012, we can't wait to see what the next year will bring!

Here is Isaac giving the stink-eye to the month of December (minus Christmas of course!)

Dave playing with his new play-doh set.

And playing with one of his new games-First Orchard.  If you have a toddler, buy this game!

We had a bunch of snow again over the weekend, so I took Dave out to play in it.  I wasn't feeling the greatest at that point, but I wanted to make sure he got to play in snow this year-he barely played in it last year since we had such a mild winter.

We busted out his new shovel and rake to clean off the sidewalk.

Trying to catch snowflakes on his tongue, and maybe dancing...kinda hard to tell.

Somebody lost his footing!

I don't think they understood me when I said, "Smile!".

Isaac did a better job without Dave around.

Another smiley Ike-ready to start the new year off right!
