March

At the end of February we had a very exciting event-Dave got his license! Here he is ready to roll in his very own minivan :) I think he named it Brenda.

Our worship leader was out of state one week so Dave took over as lead guitar. He did a great job!

Dinner date at Culver's one evening.

Ike spent the weeks leading up to Florida getting his fishing stuff ready to go.

Grandma Kyra and Grandpa Charlie came up to visit and watch Dave play in Rise Up at the Honeywell Center.

Mid Winter

After celebrating Christmas in Evansville we stopped in Indy to get the Smith boys for a couple days.

Warmish days call for evening walks.

We got so much snow! And it was mostly freezing until we got through February.

Ike earned silver for his solo and his ensemble this year.  He did a great job!

The guys before their winter dance.

Campus did look beautiful with all that snow :)

Ike attempted to fish when it was way too cold.

Celebrated Josh's birthday at Twenty.

My seedlings started popping up!

Christmas!

We had such a lovely Christmas season this year. Lots of visiting with family and great food!

The kids with their new pajamas and books on Christmas Eve.

After we celebrated Christmas at home we headed to Evansville.

The hot tub is always a favorite.

Fantastic trip and we headed home ready to start the new year!

Christmas Mystery Dinner

For Christmas this year Josh's parents hosted a mystery dinner centered around classic Christmas characters. Dave was a take on Kevin McCallister from Home Alone, Ike was Ralphie, I was the Sugar Plum Fairy, and Josh was the Nutcracker. We had to figure out who killed Scrooge. We had an absolute blast!

They also made a delicious dinner with multiple courses but I didn't take any pictures! Such a fun night. (even though it snowed all day and just getting to their house was treacherous!)

Visits and Band Concert

Gamma came to visit in December! We had been wanting to try another Christmas market (in Berne) so we went over with Josh's mom. It was fine but not nearly as awesome as the one in Carmel. We did find a really cute store in downtown Berne after so that was cool!

Unrelated to other happenings but I saw this on Facebook and I had to have it. It is the creepiest adorable decoration.

That Sunday the kids had their Christmas band concert. They did such a great job!

Dave is 16!! (and Thanksgiving)

How is my baby 16?? It is wild having such an old kid. Here's a little about Dave right now. He's still playing drums for worship every week, obsessed with golf, and has taken up guitar and is quite good already. He spends lots of time playing video games with his cousins and friends and likes to go support his classmates whether it is volleyball or playing in the pep band at basketball games. Dave is super funny and can be very sarcastic (gets that honest) and is so so close to getting that precious license! Only has to wait 3 short months longer. Really he is an awesome kid and we are so blessed by him!

Josh's mom put together this hilarious gift. A ton of money taped together and he pulled it out of a kleenex box.

We celebrated both boys' birthdays at Grains and Grill with grandma and grandpa.

Splurged on a fancy dessert.

I'm including Thanksgiving in this one since his birthday is basically thrown in with it usually anyway.

This was a light year for the Thanksgiving crowd but it was a great meal and we played some games before everyone headed home.

This one is just for me, I loved the way our living room looked for Christmas!
