Mid Winter

After celebrating Christmas in Evansville we stopped in Indy to get the Smith boys for a couple days.

Warmish days call for evening walks.

We got so much snow! And it was mostly freezing until we got through February.

Ike earned silver for his solo and his ensemble this year.  He did a great job!

The guys before their winter dance.

Campus did look beautiful with all that snow :)

Ike attempted to fish when it was way too cold.

Celebrated Josh's birthday at Twenty.

My seedlings started popping up!

Christmas Mystery Dinner

For Christmas this year Josh's parents hosted a mystery dinner centered around classic Christmas characters. Dave was a take on Kevin McCallister from Home Alone, Ike was Ralphie, I was the Sugar Plum Fairy, and Josh was the Nutcracker. We had to figure out who killed Scrooge. We had an absolute blast!

They also made a delicious dinner with multiple courses but I didn't take any pictures! Such a fun night. (even though it snowed all day and just getting to their house was treacherous!)

July

We jumped right back into life after we got back from California. Dave played in a worship night at the county fair with a couple other people from church.

Josh's parents bought a new camper, here are the boys in it-it's a baby camper!

The boys played in a junior/adult golf tourney. Dave and his partner Jim Hogan got second place in their age range and I think Ike and Josh got 2nd place as well.

The neighbor kids love coming over to hang out/pester our children. I love it!

I did lots of pickling! Unfortunately my cucumbers didn't do that well this year. Looking forward to next season already!

All the cousins went with grandma and grandpa to visit Aunt Em in Madison. They had a blast!

March and Spring Break

After we got back from Florida it was nice for about a week and then the weather took a turn again which was disappointing! We had a pretty uneventful March leading up into actual spring break for the boys and I.

Caught the boys at the bus stop-they were not pumped about my picture taking.

Dave started playing in the worship band at church. They participated in a county wide night of worship to raise funds for the community. It was so cool to see Dave on that stage and praising!

The first weekend of spring break we went to Evansville and I took 5 pictures-an all time low for me!

Josh made burnt ends out of chuck roast and holy moly that was delicious!

On the way home we picked up the Smith boys to stay for a while and keep the kids entertained. Worked like a charm, it's so fun having them together!

The kids helped us hide some tiny Jesus figures around grandma and grandpa's house before they got home for Florida.

And we took them to play gellyball which was not my favorite experience (those things hurt!) but they kids had a blast.

Christmas Part III: Evansville

One last stop on our Christmas tour this year: Evansville! We went down for a little longer trip than usual so we could overlap with Rob's family being in town. Lots of fun and lots of present opening of course :)

Walking with Gamma-it's so weird both boys are just taller than a lot of us now!

We went putt-putting and laser tagging with Dad and Kyra. This was a blast. I have to point out that I won laser tag!

We went out to eat one night so mom took the boys out too!

Ike, mom, and Josh went shooting one day.

I have been demoted to riding in the backseat now when Dave's driving us. So weird!

All the presents at Dad and Kyra's! It was great to see everybody and Dad made a feast! Crab legs and filet mignon.

Unfortunately our trip extended by an extra day because of Ike and I coming down with a stomach bug. We made it home the next day before Josh and Dave ended up with it. Not a great ending to our vacation but we had a lot of fun before that!!
