More Fun at the Park

We were really busy with the cottage this week (it's Spring Break) so we made the most of our two days off on Thursday and Friday. It was reasonably nice out, so we spent a lot of time entertaining Dave outside. On Friday, we headed to Matter Park in Marion again (or as Dave calls it, the "Big Park!").













He's getting more brave about the bigger kid stuff there.

In our backyard, there is a random sand pit right outside the back door. Perfect for a two year old! Not sure of its purpose, but I do make sure to wash his hands really well after he's done playing :)




Of course, he plops right down in it.










I asked him to say cheese and he made his duck sticker say cheese instead.





Tonight Dave asked when he would be allowed to play softball with the boys and Josh. I told him he'd have to get bigger first. His response, "I am little now, but I'm going to grow up big like a beanstalk!". I love how he puts ideas together now.

Gamma Comes to Town

This weekend my mom came up to help us out with the Davester. We were definitely in need of a little break, so we took full advantage and went out to lunch and to see not one but two movies! (Hunger Games and 21 Jump Street) Very relaxing and we were able to sleep in for a couple of mornings. Dave's sleeping has been a little rough lately, so we were very grateful for extra sleep.





I finally cleared the porch of ladybeetles, so now Dave can play out there again. Here he is rocking his big brother tshirt. We announced to our guys, so word is getting around.

Of course, Gamma and Dave went to the store and came back with a new toy. Dave was very proud of his new baseball set.

On Sunday, we went to a different church to watch our friend Ben preach. Afterward, we invited Ben and another guy we work with to lunch. It was really nice to get to entertain for once!

Here's a picture to show my pregnancy progress. This was at 13 weeks, so basically the 2nd trimester. I compared it to pictures of Dave at 14 weeks, and it looks pretty much the same. I definitely feel bigger this time around and am already wearing my maternity pants!

At the Park, Visit with Sophie and Caleb

We took Dave to Mattern Park in Marion on Thursday. The weather was ridiculous, 85 and sunny! This playground is really awesome, and Dave always has a blast when we go.

Then on Friday, the weather turned a little yucky, as Dave would say. We took him to play at the mall, but it just isn't the same as the park. Josh's Dad went to Indy to pick up Sophie and Caleb for the night, so we had lots of entertainment.

That about sums up our last couple of days off. Gotta give Indiana lots of love for a great game played against Kentucky on Friday night. They really played their hearts out. Definitely looking forward to next season, bring on the new recruits!

Dave's Big News

Dave's announcement.

He's going to be a big brother! I'm due October 5th, which puts me at the end of the 1st trimester. My doctor was kind enough to do an ultrasound for me because I was worried about twins (for no real reason, but couldn't get it out of my head!). I've been feeling pretty good, just the normal nausea and such.

So far I'm feeling like it's another boy, but who knows. We're waiting to find out again, so I'm sure I'll change my mind a couple times before we meet him/her.

March Madness

We have been so busy lately! This warm weather has been amazing, so we spend most of our time outdoors (one of my excuses for not updating much). I have a bunch of pictures to post, so I'll update through pictures again.

Dad and Kyra came up to visit last Saturday. Dave got lots of playing in, and they even brought him a kite!

We took the boys to play softball last weekend. Of course, Dave came along to provide moral support.

We went over to Gas City to the petting zoo. We took cheesy pringles-turns out the animals hate them. Well, except the goats. We made a donkey start choking! Lesson learned.












Finally, we went to Logansport on Sunday to celebrate Miranda's birthday (Josh's cousin). Here's Dave trying out her new skates.

Florida Recap

We made friends with lots of little kids at the beach. Of course, every kid loves to play with new toys, so we did a lot of sharing.

There was a pretty intense kite-flying session. All the guys were very into it.

We visited Mote Aquarium in Sarasota-about 35 minutes away.

Quick update from Sunny Florida

Thought I would make a quick update to keep my readers happy :) We are having a fabulous time in Florida! The flight down went great, and we've had awesome weather so far.

Yesterday we headed to the beach, here are a couple pictures. I'll post more when we get home, these will have to do until then!
