September

Over Labor Day weekend we went to Josh's aunt Veronica's house to swim and hang out.

Josh and I took students on a hike as part of an alternative classroom we did as a school. I always love traipsing through the woods! We got a touch lost (our leader led us astray, but Josh got us out)

September means it's officially time for football and pep band. Ike decided to play football for the junior high team and Dave plays all kinds of percussion for the band. Typically Ike played some kind of defense and he got to punt during some of the games.

My garden was still going strong throughout the month.

I worked hard to make this project for Sophie's 16th birthday. It was so fun to put this together and gift it to her!

My mom and brother came up for a weekend and they got in a lot of golf :)

First Day of School

The boys officially started 7th and 10th grade this year! Crazy to think that soon Dave will be driving and Ike is going to be in high school before we know it. They got right back into the swing of things and are both staying pretty busy so far.

Still forcing the kids to go on after school walks with me.

I went with Josh to golf on a beautiful Friday. I enjoy putting around once he gets on the green.

I was gifted a ton of tomatoes so we made up a huge batch of spaghetti sauce. It is so tasty!

Here's a better picture of Dave with the neighbor kids :)

Early August

The kids had an extra long summer this year (the school district started school late this year and will extend further into May in 2026) so it was nice to have some bonus time!

Dave played in Etna's club championship again this year. My mom was up visiting so she got to see him play a bunch of gofl!

The guys and mom even got a round of golf in!

My garden was in tip top shape. Lots of pollinators and butterflies.

We bought sweet corn from one of Dave's friends and put up 6 dozen ears!

Mac Powell from the band Third Day came to the Eagles so we went to see him with Josh's parents. He put on a great show!

My sunflowers were so beautiful this year.

July

We jumped right back into life after we got back from California. Dave played in a worship night at the county fair with a couple other people from church.

Josh's parents bought a new camper, here are the boys in it-it's a baby camper!

The boys played in a junior/adult golf tourney. Dave and his partner Jim Hogan got second place in their age range and I think Ike and Josh got 2nd place as well.

The neighbor kids love coming over to hang out/pester our children. I love it!

I did lots of pickling! Unfortunately my cucumbers didn't do that well this year. Looking forward to next season already!

All the cousins went with grandma and grandpa to visit Aunt Em in Madison. They had a blast!

Spring is Here!

Ike found us some morels. He's a great hunter.

Had a date with Jodi, so nice to catch up!

Lots and lots of golfing.

At Round Barn getting a ride with Coach Dale.

Last day of school! What on earth this year flew by.

April

Here's a little glimpse into our lives in April.

My daffodils were really showing off.

Our neighbor (and Ike's math teacher) was the Easter bunny again this year.

We went to Josh's aunt Shirley's for an Easter lunch.

Easter Sunday fits.

Ike finished reading Jurassic Park so we watched the movie.

Golf season officially began!

The boys had their spring concert for band.

And Gamma came to visit and got to watch several golf matches and the concert!
