Spring Time Wrap-Up

We have had a ridiculously busy spring! Both boys are in baseball and it is a huge difference getting kids to and from practices and games when I'm working full time!

Pretty much every Saturday morning we have gone down to the new 50 East Cafe on campus. It is so nice and they have delicious biscuits and gravy on Saturdays!

Ike has been such a rock star at school this year. To round out his year, he moved his clip up to go see the principal.

Theresa (she works at the boys' school) sneaked this picture for me of Ike celebrating with the other readers of the month!

The boys getting some energy out while we were waiting on our food at Culver's.

Ike and Bennett thought they were still an appropriate size for this house. Turns out they just looked like giants!

My tulips were so pretty this year!

As I said above, baseball is in full swing. Ike is in coaches pitch (we skipped him past t-ball) and Dave is in kids pitch.

Look at this cute thing!  Here's a video of his first hit!

Playing at pitcher. He was quickly moved to 2nd base due to a lack of attention, ha!

Dave's been pretty nervous when batting but he has gotten more confident in the last couple of games. He made the catch of the year after a kid hit a whopper at him in the outfield.

Dave at bat.

Dave and his friend Blake.

He actually gave me a good pose!

We had a great mushrooming season this year. Both Dave and Ike were really good at finding them!

Pacers and Easter

We had a super busy beginning to the kids' spring break. Friday night we went to the concert, Saturday night we had the Pacers game, then the kids and I went to Evansville for several nights. For the Pacers game we went with some of the students from White's and the kids had a blast.

Rocking his old school jersey!

Ike hanging out with his buddy Bennett.

So nice to finally see some flowers blooming!

Getting a little baseball practice in.

Those are some extremely forced smiles, ha!

Ike, Dave, and Kyson ready to find some eggs.

Josh had to work Easter weekend so the kid and I went to chapel in the morning with him and the cottage and then headed over to Logansport to celebrate with his family.

Dave helping grandma get stuff ready.

Ike and his favorite person, Amaya.

Beautiful mother/daughter combo!

The kids searching and searching for the final egg...

Spring Break in Evansville

The boys and I headed down to Evansville for a quick trip over their actual spring break. We were looking forward to seeing everybody and also hoping for some slightly warmer weather (our weather had been terrible leading up to the break).

Dave got put to work right away to help Gpa Charlie figure out what was wrong with their freezer.

Opening up early Easter presents.

Dave got some new basketball shoes (same kind as Dad has so he's pretty excited).

Skyzone fun with Uncle Tony.

Gamma has ninja squirrels in her backyard that eat all the bird seed.

We spent as much time as possible outside...it started off a little chilly but as you can tell through the pictures, it warmed up quite a bit while we were there.

Uncle Ben and Dave at an awesome park in Newburgh.

Ike and Uncle Tony swinging.

At the riverfront park in Owensboro the next day-much nicer!

Ike and great-grandpa.

That evening we went out to eat with Dad and Kyra before going to their Bible study. The kids did so great and even participated in the bump reading of the material along with the adults!

After dinner ice cream at Zesto's.

Fortress of Fun in Newburgh.  Ike played while Dave and I got some baseball practice in.

To round out our park tour, we went to Mickey's Kingdom Park on the Evansville riverfront.

This was the newest and had the coolest stuff to do!

Can't go wrong with a mini ninja warrior course!

Such a fun visit and we can't wait to go back and visit (this weekend!). I think we sufficiently wore the kids out with all the activities!
