September Wrap Up

September seemed pretty busy-mostly just getting the kids in the swing of things with school and enjoying every bit of time outside that we could!

I had to renew my lifeguarding certification so the boys came to help me as drowning victims. They both did a great job and I got this epic picture of Dave!

Dave on the back board.

Dave had a sleepover with friends so Ike and I went to our first in-person restaurant since February! The whole place was empty except for us and the wait staff so I felt pretty safe. His favorite restaurant is El Taco in Marion (he loves the fish tacos!).

Had to get him a fancy soda!

Mom and Ike date.

Breakfast at 50 East the next morning.

My garden this year has done so well, probably because I was around with nothing else to do!

Sunflowers are taller than him and the zinnias almost are!

This dahlia got huge.

Ike flying the kite he won from summer reading.

We had a great crop of habaneros so Josh has been making all kinds of things with them!

Making hot sauce.

Jam session.

That's about it for September. Now we are gearing up for our trip to Folly Beach with my mom and Tony and Ben! Cannot wait!!

Evansville Visit

This year being how it is, I think I'm just going to have to be content with getting one blog post done a month! There have been a couple exceptions, but overall I am not taking nearly as many pictures as usual so I just don't have that much to blog about!

We went down for a visit in Evansville to see everybody and do a walk for Alzheimer's in honor of my Aunt Laura and Grandma Colleen.

Of course, great-grandpa Dave had to bring Ike some Donut Bank long johns!

We spent lots of time swimming at Dad and Kyra's.

Boys visiting with great-grandpa between rides on his golf cart.

Dave learning the secrets to fried chicken from grandpa Charlie.

Gamma got a dart board that was very popular with the kids!

It was a super quick trip but we had lots of fun!
