Extremely Belated Birthday Celebrations

We finally got around to having the boys' birthdays over Christmas break.  They both wanted to go to the arcade in Roanoke again, so we had them invite some friends and made it a joint party.

Little Caesars pizza and a Texas sheet cake, pretty easy for me!

Christmas 2022

Christmas this year was a little different because of some crazy weather we had! We were supposed to get the Smith boys before Christmas, but ended up waiting to get them until after and we didn't get to celebrate with Josh's family in Logansport like usual due to super cold weather and snow! But we had a lovely, quiet time together and then picked up the cousins a little later.

We hosted Josh's parents Christmas Eve instead of driving into Logansport.

Kids enjoyed their new pajamas and new books this year and I got a book from Santa too :)

Christmas morning picture. Em was supposed to come up but decided to stay home due to weather, so here's a picture of her and Barker.

And the cousins getting to play in the snow a little after the temps finally warmed up!

Christmas in Evansville and End of Break

After the kids' birthday celebrations we went down to Evansville for several days until after New Years. We were able to get together with my step-brother and his family for a big Christmas and had some smaller dinners with mom's side (had some run-ins with Covid so not everyone could come unfortunately!).

Opening presents at Dad and Kyra's.

Boys all playing Supersmash.

So many grab-bag presents! We opened these forever, it was so much fun!

We finally got mom's new cabinets built for one side of her kitchen.

Here's Dave helping with dinner one night.

The boys got lots of Buster snuggles while we were visiting!

New Year's Eve. I keep forgetting Josh had a beard there for a couple months, ha!

After Evansville, we stopped to drop the kids off with Josh's sister Brit and her kids for a couple nights. She sent us some pictures of their activities which included making personal pizzas, playing games, and a trip to Skyzone!

And finally, we were able to get together with Josh's family after Christmas Eve was canceled due to the horrible weather!

Christmas with the Bowyer/Smith Clan

The weekend before Christmas we hosted Josh's fam to celebrate a little early. We had so much fun, lots of great cousin time, good food, and another fantastic caroling session this year!

We bought a ping pong table for the event and it was a hit!

Listening to grandpa Boo read a devotional before presents.

Gingerbread house competition.

Of course we played Family Feud, it's a Bowyer Christmas tradition.

Such a fun weekend! Memories made and it's always a good time when all the kids can get together (and loud!).
