More Shut Down Adventures

Since our last update, not much has changed for our family. We are still social distancing as much as possible (with some visits with family sprinkled in lately), so adventures is a loose term here :)

Our favorite activity has been exploring our county! There are all kinds of cool places to hike and visit so we've been taking advantage during this time.

Checking out the view.

From the top of Hanging Rock with Caleb.

Ike and Caleb doing some scrambling.

At Hawthorne Nature Preserve.

Ike found a walking stick finally!

Exploring Asherwood. We've been here before but it has a couple cool trails.

Ike and I got ice cream from a local place to take home to Dave. Pretty exciting outing :)

Finished another book!

The boys convinced me to stay up late so they could read their books.

Working on a Bible verse challenge.

Our children's pastor sends the kids weekly activities like they would do in their classes normally.

Kids' first and only outing so far-breakfast at 50 East on campus!

The boys have done really well with school but we were all super happy when eLearning was over!

On to 2nd grade next year!

Cannot believe Dave will be in 5th grade!

Ike helping Josh make Oreo dessert for my Mother's Day dinner! Josh also made me pasta carbonara, so good!

The boys hanging with Kyson and Gabe.

On a walk and they thought these geese were a total fail, hence their expressions.

We are all really hopeful that everything goes well now that things are opening back up. This summer is sure going to look a lot different than we thought...no baseball, camp, or public swimming pool! Still planning on our vacation in July but who knows!
