Our time in Florida is coming to an end, so I thought I'd do a quick update and get some pictures on here before we left.
We have had a great week (we leave tomorrow morning) and have immensely enjoyed the sunshine and warm weather! Definitely not looking forward to the cold weather that awaits us in Indiana, though I am excited to get back home.
Here's Ike going without a shirt on their front porch.

Busy Days for the Bowyers
We have spent the past week settling into our new house...once I get everything put together I will do an update about the house. Besides getting the house in order, we have been pretty busy this past week!
Dave saw the dentist for the first time.
He really did very well, just wasn't loving having his picture taken at the time. Our dentist said his teeth look great, and keep on brushing!
Dave keeps finding random things in boxes to play with. The other day he cabbaged on to an old flash drive and started calling it his "power plug". Where does he come up with these things?
Playing with the power plug, which of course involves wearing camo rain boots.
Just a cute picture of Ike.
Now that we have moved, we are super close to a bunch of other kids on campus. So, we've started trading babysitting so we all can get things done, it's been great! I watched Bennett (he's 8 months) the other day, and Dave had a great time reading to him.
Really getting into story time.
I think they both had fun!
After dinner every night, Dave likes to play some kind of a game. One night last week, he grabbed a bunch of saltines and started playing a pretend match game with them.
Here's a video of the match game in action.
When I was getting the boys' clothes ready for Florida (less than a week!!!), I came across a bunch of clothes Josh's mom gave us from when he was a baby. So, of course I stuck Ike in one of the outfits.
Sailor baby!
Finally, on Saturday we headed over to Grandma Bertie's to celebrate his Uncle Fritz's retirement from being a principal down in Houston.
Dave helped blow out the candles.
Crashed out on the way home.
Well that wraps up our week. Now onto Florida! We head out on Saturday morning, and will hopefully be enjoying some warm sunshine by Sunday :)

Baby Boy Turns Four Months!
Isaac is growing up so fast! I can't believe he is four months old already. Here are some pictures from the last week or so.
Seriously precious. Just wanna pinch those cheeks.
He is such a smiley baby.
Well except when posing for his month photo.
Looks like he just heard something scandalous.
My favorite photo from his month pictures this time.
Ike is learning early to share in the limelight-Dave had to get in on the pictures as usual.
As for milestones: he is officially rolling both directions now. He's already started pulling his legs up when laying on his belly, just preparing to crawl I guess. Ike started really reaching for and grabbing a hold of things this past month. His favorite toys are his exersaucer and this whale thing that has lots of fun stuff to look at and is easy to grasp. Still working on cutting those teeth, it feels like that's taking forever! I am not sure of his stats, but he goes to the doctor next Friday, so I will update then.
Here's a recent video of Ike's chatting. He loves talking to anybody and everything and is getting really animated lately.
I think that about sums up Isaac's month, it still amazes me how much they can change over such a short period of time!

Visit in Evansville
I know it's been awhile since an update-we just moved into our new house! We officially moved over the weekend, but we've been packing and moving things all week, so it's been busy around here. Anyway, thought I would finally write up a recap of what we did down in Evansville last weekend.
Like usual, we spent most of the time eating and hanging out. After a grueling trip down there (horrible traffic south of Indy because of ice...took us an extra 2 1/2 hours to get there!), we were ready for some relaxation!
Great-grandpa Dave with the boys.
Dave loves helping papa Charlie in the kitchen. On this trip, he helped make ribs, jelly, and cupcakes (those were with Grandma Kyra though). Love watching Dave "help" everybody out.
Seasoning up the ribs.
Ike with dad. He (Ike) has been really jealous looking when we eat lately...he grabbed a hung of pulled pork off my plate the other day!
Ike with Uncle Tony.
Papa Charlie with the boys.
Dave has really gotten into music lately, and one of his favorite stations on Pandora is all children's songs. His most favorite is "monkey's jumping on the bed", and he gave us a rocking performance over at dad's house.
Dave's concert.
We watched the super bowl over at my mom's house, and my aunt Kathy was super awesome and came over to watch a movie with Dave so we could enjoy the game. She is a huge Disney fan, so she loves getting the chance to watch new ones with kids. They watched Brave, and Dave really liked it.
Enjoying some popcorn during the movie.
We had a great time, as we always do, and can't wait to come back again.

The Calm Before the Storm
Sometimes it feels like we are so busy, but when I stop and think about what we have actually done, I'm not sure where the time went. I think kids just eat up large chunks of time! With Josh's new job, the kids and I are settling into our new life of staying home, and I think we're starting to get the hang of it.
Hopefully we'll be moving into our new place in the next week or so, which will probably create quite a bit of chaos in our lives! Dave and I have spent lots of time packing, and I'm certain people are tired of me calling to ask for boxes! Anyway, here's what we've been up to lately...
Ike looks so serious in this picture-I just love how he expresses himself with his eyebrows.
My mom and Dave having a puppet show with his socks.
Getting a little big for the swing, guess we'll have to retire it soon!
Dave isn't a huge fan of getting his haircut, mostly because it means having to take a shower following one (he prefers baths). Last week I forced him into one, and as usual, he fussed quite a bit. Unfortunately for Dave, when he does that he gets hair in his mouth. He tried to rub his face off on the cape, and here's what he looked like following his haircut...
If you look close, you can see all the hair that stuck to his face, making it look like he had a beard.
Dad and Ike bonding.
Isaac is a fantastic lap baby, and Grandma Bertie loves it!
I sometimes wonder if people think the boys are always happy and adorable based on the pictures I put up on the blog. So this time I am including some pictures of what life is often really like...
Isaac growing tired of his exersaucer in the midst of trying to get a cute photo.
Dave decided after 5 minutes of kite flying that it was just too cold to be outside. This was after he begged forever to go out and fly it. Fun while it lasted...
I keep meaning to write about the ridiculous things Dave says, so here is one from the other day. He told Josh that the pizza we were eating was "pepperoni status" the other day. Basically anything can be described this way. A couple of other examples: spiderman status, broccoli status, you get the idea.
