Christmas Festivities

We had a pretty low-key Christmas this year (like normal really since Josh is usually working in some capacity!). For Christmas Eve we went to Josh's Aunt Veronica's for a get together followed by a surprise wedding for his Uncle John and Kate!

After the wedding we came home to watch Christmas Vacation (the edited version, ha!) and the kids opened up their pajamas and books. Ike got a Goosebumps collection and Fish in a Tree and Dave got the Ready Player One series.

On Christmas morning Josh's parents came over to watch the kids open up their presents and have breakfast before they headed for Florida (jealous). The big hits for Christmas this year were the tickets to Glass Animals! I also forgot to wrap three of Ike's presents but found them later in the day when I realized I'd forgotten them. Ha, mom of the year over here!

It was pretty mild again on Christmas Day so Ike and I took a stroll around campus. He looks so old in this picture!

We also almost forgot to give the kids their new bean bag chairs from Gamma. We'd been hiding them for about a month in the garage!

Dave had basketball practice most of break so he did that pretty much every day and besides that we just hung out until the next Tuesday when we went to visit everyone in Evansville.

Ike helping Grandma Kyra make cookies while the rest of the crew went to Costco to buy crab legs.

Dad and Kyra found some of my old stuff-check out this sweet Odyssey of the Mind hat!

The kids opened up presents and got some great stuff-Dave got this really cool NASA lego set to build and Ike received snow bibs and a target for his new bow and arrow set.

We were supposed to hang at my Grandpa's for the IU game but the game got canceled so we had pizza at Mom's instead.

We all got together at Dad's for Christmas and the crazy Christmas exchange we started doing there. I think we opened presents for an hour and a half this year! Dad and the other fellas cooked us a prime rib and king crab legs, it was quite the feast!

Then on New Year's Eve all of mom's side got together to visit and eat.

Buster was a huge hit while we were there!

Right before we left my mom gave the boys 21 Pilots tickets for August so they were super duper pumped for that! We have a lot of concerts coming up this year :)

We had a wonderful, blessed Christmas. Thankful to be able to get together with most of the family in this crazy year!
