Not much has been going on with us lately. We'll all been feeling sickly on and off, so we've been laying low.
I did forget to mention in my last entry that we made our own laundry detergent last week. I used this recipe. After doing the math, it came out to a penny a load. I know, sounds crazy, but it smells great and works really well. So, that's our money saving tip!
Anyway, our guys have to participate in a flag football league, and Dave and I went out to watch the first game. While there, I decided to take some outdoor pictures of Dave.
Love the buzz cut!
Doesn't he look contemplative?
Every time Josh gives him a bath, Dave ends up with some kind of bubble facial hair. I believe this was a goatee.
And to add to the list of things that Dave pulls out of the trash, here's a video of him talking to tortilla chips. Video

Sumner Wildlife Museum
Last Wednesday Dave, Josh, and I made a visit to a local museum. We had been meaning to go for a while and finally went to check it out.
This place was AWESOME. Mr. Sheets went on numerous hunts/fishing trips throughout his life and donated a great portion of his collection to this museum. He has basically hunted every sweet animal you'd ever want to see. I'll let a couple pictures speak for themselves.
Tiger. I think it had been killing cattle and maybe had killed a couple local villagers. That was why Sheets was able to hunt it. Otherwise, they are protected.
Dave was mesmerized by the baboon.
I forget what kind of shark this was. I think my favorite part of the museum was the fish section.
Lion and other various African animals.
This moose was enormous.
Dave absolutely loved it and spent most of the time talking to the animals. He didn't really get that they were dead.
Of course, I took a video...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NNSzDvFlm8
Here's our little angel after he dug a brownie out of the trash

This past week, Dave came down with an ear infection. He's been pretty sick (but has gotten much better) and this has completely messed up his sleeping. Anyway, Dave decided to get up at 4 AM the other day and was ridiculously chipper.
Here's the evidence. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15789-3wWcg

Lots of videos!
Here are a few leftover pictures from Evansville and some new videos!
Dave, Zack Morris called, he wants his phone back.
I remember when this toy was the coolest. Now, it's totally retro.
I realized I didn't include a picture of Dave and Uncle Tony. Sorry Ton!
And finally, on to videos.
Dave and Sophie playing 9 months Dave and Sophie in kitchen
I got Dave to clap on video...9 months clapping
And he can wave! 9 months waving and banging uke
Have a great rest of your week!

Visit to Evansville
We just came back from a week long vacation to Evansville to visit my family. Dave became reacquainted with everybody and even was able to see my grandma and cousin from Kansas. All around a great time! I'll tell our journey in pictures, since that's what everybody really wants to see :)
Grandpa and Dave hanging out at Angel Mounds. We had to make a pit stop under the pecan grove because it was insanely hot this day. Of course we went on the only hot day we were down there!
Us in front of the main mound. Turns out these are not burial mounds like I've thought my entire life. Not as cool now...
It was much nicer on Friday so we went for a walk in downtown Evansville with my brother.
Saturday we went to the zoo with my dad, grandma, Tony, and my cousin Sabrina. This is our Hiatt four generations picture.
Dave takes jaguars very seriously.
Checking out some kind of reptile with Josh and my cousin Sabrina. Dave absolutely loved all the wildlife (as well as people watching)!
This is Donna the hippo. She is the oldest hippo in captivity-I think it said she was 57. I could not believe how huge she is, the picture does not do her justice.
Dave and dad at the petting zoo.
Sunday evening we all went to grandpa's to have pizza and celebrate my Aunt Kathy's birthday. Here's the Bradfield four generations picture.
On Tuesday we took a picnic to Wesselman Park with my mom. Dave really loves to swing!
And finally, Dave was big enough to ride in his car on this trip. Mom was racing him up and down the side walk and he had a fabulous time.
How's that for some pictures!?
In other news, Dave waved for the first time at my grandpa as we were leaving. I was so pumped! Now he sort of does it most of the time. He's a little selective still. He is also clapping on occasion, which we've been working on for months. And finally, he can stand up without holding on to something. So, he no longer crawls anywhere. It's kind of crazy.
Hopefully some people made it through all that! If you did, here's a video treat for you...
