We had a great Halloween this year! The weather was less than ideal, but our Trunk or Treat on campus was moved inside, so it ended up working out really well for the kids.
Isaac and I after I completed his fabulous Hulk costume.
Dave and Ike before trick or treating.
Isaac doing his best scary Hulk face.
Dave in action at the Trunk or Treat.
Posing with half of the Avengers team.
Dave really loves dressing up in costumes, so much so that he started stealing other kids' props and trying them out with his Thor costume.
Jessie's (from Toy Story) hat and horse.
Spiderman's mask.
Darth Vader's sweet helmet.
Of course, Isaac slept through the majority of trick or treating, which was awesome. Dave had a blast and loved showing off his Thor hammer. And now we're just rationing out his candy so he doesn't go into a sugar coma!

Ike Update
Isaac is 3 weeks old already! Crazy how fast time goes, especially with the second child. With Dave being sick this week, Isaac was a little neglected, but Josh took Dave out yesterday and today, so I have spent some quality time with the little guy.
I cannot resist baby yawns.
Working on finding his hands while big brother played at the park.
His hair is a little rough these days...getting a little thin on top already!
Ike has shown a lot of neck strength so I've been working with him on tummy time.
I think we spent a little too much time on it, sorry buddy!
Lifting up off the ground. Here is a video of Ike picking up his head.
And playing with his elephant-notice Dave's loader pjs in the background. Dave wanted to get in on some tummy time too!
Modeling his hat sent from Claudia-it matches his eyes perfectly.
Isaac is still sleeping well, in fact he went 7 hours the other night!!! Of course, that was in the midst of Dave being sick so nobody else got that much sleep. But hopefully soon. Otherwise, he tends to get a little fussy in the evenings, and seems to poop quite a bit more than I remember Dave doing. But that could be me forgetting things. I think he's going through a growth spurt because he has been eating all the time this week, guess we'll see at his next checkup.

Dave Update
Since I'm still on maternity leave, I've been able to take lots and lots of pictures of the boys. So I thought I better dedicate a couple of posts to all the cuteness that I've captured recently. Here's Dave...
He will be Thor for Halloween and is super excited about it. Video of "David Thor".
My mom bought Dave a trampoline to play on when Ike was born. He loves it. We typically go out to the porch to play on it at least once a day, and it was a big hit when Sophie and Caleb came over to play.
Burning off some energy!
He is constantly getting in on every picture I take of Isaac. Ike does not look thrilled about this.
This week Dave came down with some kind of viral infection. I took him to the doctor because of his fever, but they couldn't give him anything for it. So we just toughed it out...it was a rough week for sleeping! While at the doctor, they took his height and weight-he is 36.5 inches tall and weighs 27 pounds.
He was a little more touchy this week since he was sick.
Playing on the slide.
This is once he started feeling better.
Modeling his new hat courtesy of my family friend Claudia from Kansas. She makes super cute stuff!
And finally showing off his new shirt that Andrew's parents bought him for his birthday (a little early). Love the goggles on the hood!

Our Past Week
The weather has been especially yucky this last week (minus Sunday which was gorgeous!), so we've been staying entertained indoors. No real updates to report, although Dave did spend all night in his own bed Saturday night which is a pretty huge deal around here. Also, my mom came to spend the weekend and help out (entertain Dave).
Dave loves to mop, especially when he wears his cool sunglasses.
He woke up extra early one morning and fell asleep on the ottoman before lunch.
Isaac's crazy long hair-we cut the back to even it out a bit.
Dave is cheering on the Giants to beat the Cardinals (mostly because Josh cannot stand St. Louis).
The shirt is courtesy of Josh's aunt Amy who lives outside of San Francisco. We have had it for two years and it finally fits!
The boys in their Curious George shirts.
Pajama time.
Isaac has been working on his head control. And also his blue steel face from Zoolander.
Grandma D came by with Sophie and Caleb.

Pumpkin Patch with the Smiths
On Thursday, the Smiths (Josh's sister and family) came up to meet Ike and go visit our local pumpkin patch. (If you're counting, this was trip #4 for Dave this year!)
Group picture in front of the goats.
Dave with grandma on the hayride.
Brittany and Sophie on the hayride.
Caleb doesn't seem too sure about the ride.
Adorable! And I'm supposed to give credit for this picture since I had no part in it! Divana set it up and Josh took it.
The kids playing in the leaves.
Caleb enjoying a ride in the cart.
Hanging by the fire with Ike.
Before we left, the kids all picked a pumpkin to take home and paint. They had an absolute blast painting...Dave didn't want to stop for dinner!
I'm pretty sure I heard them saying "farts" to the camera instead of cheese.

Brotherly Love
Two nights ago I had both boys inside since Josh was on duty. Dave was jumping on his trampoline while Ike and I "watched" him. When I made a quick run in to turn on one of the heaters, Isaac made a little whimpering sound. Well, big brother came to his rescue and told him, "don't worry buddy, mommy will be back".
It was incredibly adorable, and that's something we tell Dave whenever someone leaves and he gets upset. I love that he is already comforting his baby brother, and am so excited to see their relationship grow as they grow up!

Isaac- 1 Week Old
This post is a little late, but I was waiting on Ike's first doctor appointment before posting. He got a clean bill of health from the pediatrician, and has already gained quite a bit of weight-he now weighs 9 lbs 3 oz. So about a half pound gain-I'm glad all these nursing sessions are paying off!
It must be hard being a week old.
Looking inquisitive. He has been more aware the past couple of days.
Dave showing off to Isaac how strong he is.
Dave keeps jumping in on photos of Isaac.
Gotta keep him in the spotlight.
Isaac doesn't seem too pleased that Dave's stealing his show.
The boys are getting along well. Still having some sleep issues with Dave, but I think it's getting better. Isaac continues to sleep really well at night and during the day. He's been holding his head up more and more, reminds me a lot of how Dave was at this age. I have lots more pictures to share, so I'll try to update again soon!
